Two workshops coming this fall. Sign up now!
Stephen Ministry Workshop Saturday, September 18, 9:00am–1:00pm
Would you like to learn more about ministering to others in grief or distress? How can Christians who are not therapists or counselors care for others in a distinctively Christian way? Founded in 1975, St. Louis-based Stephen Ministry is a nationally recognized leader in training non-ordained Christians in pastoral care skills. Join us and others from area churches in Flint Hall for an introduction to Stephen Ministry and an opportunity to deepen your own pastoral skills. Registration is open to all. We are expecting a significant turnout on September 18 as this is one of the few New England workshops Stephen Ministries is offering this fall. To register, please email Wendy Lawson at
or look for the sign-up sheet at church. Admission is free for St. Anne's parishioners.
Share/Save/Spend: A Family Workshop with Nathan Dungan Saturday, October 30, 9:00am–1:00pm
Top-performing financial advisor Nathan Dungan is the author of Prodigal Sons and Material Girls: How Not to beYour Child’s ATM (a copy is in St. Anne's Library). He is also an expert on family finances and the effect of mass marketing on young people’s evolving spending habits. In this workshop, designed for the whole family, Nathan will outline how consumer trends are distorting young people’s views of the value of money, and also offer creative examples of how to leverage his highly successful “Share-Save-Spend” approach to money management. Among other topics, he’ll offer guidance on talking about money, on understanding the difference between “wants” and “needs,” and on the increasing the probability of children having a healthy financial life. Reserve a space for this session by emailing the Rev. Patrick Ward,
A suggested contribution of $15 (individual) or $40 (family) will be collected the morning of the workshop. Learn more about Nathan at www.sharesavespend.com
. . . . . . . . . . Rosie's Place 3rd Friday of the month
For the last 25+ years, St. Anne's has been serving dinner/lunch on the 3rd Friday of every month. Lunch is served on the odd months and dinner on the even months. We have a list of 35 parishioners, some permanent and some that are call-up, that volunteer food on a monthly basis and we are always searching for new volunteers. If you'd like to help, contact Susan Deisenroth at
or call her at 978 -371-8016.
Join the group of volunteers from St. Anne's for our monthly trip to serve the evening meal at
the Pine Street Inn.
There is no cooking or clean-up, just greeting the guests and
serving the meal. We carpool from St. Anne's, leaving at
4:00pm sharp, and are back in Lincoln by 7:00pm. If you would like to help serve, please call Mary Jane Wuensch at 978 /
369-7194, or email her at
LOVE'S HARVEST The Rev. Kate Malin and parishioner John Kania joined three others on
a two-week mission trip to Malawi in Southeast Africa. They worked on behalf of Love's Harvest, a non-profit partner of Episcopal Relief &
Development dedicated to helping the rural poor of Malawi grow on their own land. While there, they visited Karonga Village, site of St. Anne's Mothers' Day Garden.
